Research Opportunities for WashU Students

CIG is looking for highly motivated WashU students for multiple research projects. We have a history of mentoring undergraduate and graduate students interested in research, with many of our alumni becoming PhD students in top programs (including WashU) and many projects leading to publications in top conferences and journals. The list of available projects can be found here. If you are interested in a project, please apply by emailing your resume and a description of your interests to the project supervisor.

Student Research Internship Program

The International Student Research Internship Program is designed for students currently enrolled at an international university to participate in engineering research at Washington University during the summer months (May through August). CIG offers 1-2 projects every summer for students in the areas of computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, systems engineering, and biomedical engineering. To apply and more info see the program website.

Research Experience for Undergraduates

Every year, CIG recruits undergraduates for a 10-week summer research program. Our Summer Program is an excellent way to get involved in cutting-edge research, to find out what it’s like to be a graduate student, and get paid for it. CIG is affiliated with two summer research programs at Washington University: (a) CSE Research Experience for Undergraduates and (b) Summer Engineering Fellowship Program (WUSEF). You can directly apply to the CIG projects listed in those programs.
